Prayer for Cleansing
“Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!” Psalm 51:2
Heavenly Father, Your Word says that You will sprinkle clean water on me, and that I shall be clean; that You will cleanse me from all my idols; that I have been given a new heart and a new spirit has been placed within me.
Father, thank You for removing the stony heart from my flesh and giving me a new heart molded by Your Word. Thank You for putting Your Spirit within me so I may now walk according to Your statutes.
Father, I pray today for the continuous cleansing of my soul. I pray that You will always keep me in remembrance of my salvation, not by works of righteousness done by me but according to Your mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
Father, salvation in Jesus has been, and continues to be, the most critical aspect of my life here on earth. The cleansing You have provided has given my life purpose and meaning as I share with others the excellencies of You, who called me out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.
Father, I thank You for Your steadfast love that surrounds me today. I will be glad, rejoice, and shout for joy with all faithful souls. May our voices praise, honor, and glorify as we proclaim the glorious splendor of Your Majesty every single day of our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
